Tim Johnston
Chairman

Tim is Executive Chairman of AMION Consulting, a firm that advises on economic development. He is an Economist and a Chartered Accountant, and he has a number of other Non-Executive Director roles. He is Chairman of Onward Homes, a major social landlord with some 35,000 homes in the North West of England. He is also a Non-Executive Director and Senior Independent Director of Liverpool University NHS Foundation Trust and his role includes chairing its New Hospital Committee. He also Chairs a charity, The Big Trust, that helps schoolchildren and adults from disadvantaged backgrounds gain work experience through its corporate network.

As Chairman of Langtree, Tim provides advice for the stewardship of the joint ventures, drawing on his wide public sector and development experience.

Adrian Clery
Non-Executive Director

Adrian is a Director at Colliers International based in London, focusing on funding and specialist investment, including joint ventures. During his years at Colliers he has worked in all aspects of property from property management to industrial and development agency, insolvency and fund management through to investment work. Adrian has worked closely with Langtree on development and investment projects and brings a national investment perspective to the team.

John Downes
Group Chief Executive

John is a Chartered Surveyor with over 30 years’ property experience. He has worked in both the public and private sectors and has considerable experience in urban regeneration, public/private partnerships and managing complex multi-disciplinary developments. He is currently a Board member of Cheshire & Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership and has recently joined the board of the Warrington Youth Zone.

Malcolm Jackson
Chief Operating Officer

Malcolm is Langtree’s Chief Operating Officer. His background includes seven years at Wainhomes where his roles included Group Company Secretary and Divisional Finance Director. Prior to this Malcolm worked for KPMG in the North West and Australia. He is a Chartered Accountant and an Associate Member of Corporate Treasurers. Malcolm has over 20 years’ experience at Langtree and has been involved in establishing and subsequent management of the Group’s existing joint venture projects. He is a Board Member of St Helens Chamber and Chairman of their audit, resource and risk committee.

Jayne Furnival
Group Property Director

Jayne has been employed by Langtree for over 16 years, and as Group Property Director she has has overall responsibility for letting, marketing and asset management of the investment properties. Jayne has been a key part of letting and selling of the properties and bringing the portfolio up to a mature occupancy and ensured the management and retention of occupiers is maintained. Also during this time, Jayne has had involvement with the preparation and implementation of joint ventures within the business and assessment of new sites.

Tom Bellis
Group Finance Director

Tom is a Chartered Accountant, with more than 10 years’ experience at Langtree. After graduating with a first class degree from the University of Manchester, he joined the graduate programme at Baker Tilly gaining his ACA qualification in 2008. His background also includes roles in group accounting and treasury at MWH Global Inc.

Josh Downes
Group Senior Development Manager

Josh joined Langtree in 2020 as a Development Manager. He graduated with a degree in Law from Liverpool John Moores University in 2015 before graduating with a Masters degree in Real Estate from the University of Reading in 2016. He then worked for JLL in their Manchester office for 4 years where he advised a variety of clients on matters such as commercial investment, lettings, sales and development of Industrial and Logistics property and the sale of Residential Land. Josh is part of the Development team and assists in the management and delivery of the development sites across the business.

Simon Foden
Group Senior Development Manager

Simon joined Langtree in 2016 as Development Manager and subsequently moved up to Senior Development Manager in 2020. He graduated with a degree in Property Investment from Nottingham Trent University in 2012 and then spent 3 years in Industrial Agency, acting for a wide range of property companies and developers in the lettings and sales of Industrial property across the North West. Simon is part of the Development team, assisting in the management and development of sites across the portfolio.

Lucy Walton
Assistant Development Manager

Lucy joined Langtree as our Assistant Development Manager in July 2023. Having graduated from Liverpool John Moores in Summer 2023 with a 1^st Class Honours degree in Real Estate, Lucy is now working here in our Development Team, assisting in the development of sites across the entire portfolio. Prior to joining Langtree Lucy worked at Hindley Lawrence Property Consultants part time alongside her studies at university, specialising in agency and professional work in the roadside and motor trade industry, whilst also assisting in sales and lettings on a variety of commercial properties.

Hannah George
Group Marketing Manager

As our Group Marketing Manager, Hannah leads all of the marketing and communication activities across the group. With experience in the property industry Hannah brings a wealth of knowledge to the role, ensuring all marketing activities support the overall strategic direction of Langtree, helping to drive the business forward.

Jess Cook
Digital Marketing Executive

As Digital Marketing Executive for Langtree it is Jess’ job to lead on the social media activity, digital advertising, and SEO across the group. Jess is currently studying her BA (Hons) in business studies with a focused module on marketing and has studied digital media since 2012 where she started her passion with a GCSE, going on to complete an A-Level and then a Digital Marketing Diploma in 2017 and has over 4 years’ experience across multiple industries.   

Catherine Olphin
ESG Coordinator

Cathy joined Langtree as our ESG Co-ordinator in August 2023. She has a 1st Class Honours degree in Natural Science from Lancaster University and is soon to complete a PhD in Management, Entrepreneurship and Strategy. Prior to joining Langtree, Cathy worked with Eco-I NW, a large-scale regional collaboration aiming to support businesses in the transition to a low-carbon economy. She also has experience at AECOM, supporting environmental consultation on a wide range of infrastructure projects. Cathy is passionate about achieving social and environmental outcomes and keen to build on Langtree’s significant work in this area.

Kathryn Smart
Group Associate Property Director

Kathryn has been at Langtree for over 10 years and has more than 15 years property experience. Kathryn is involved in all aspects of asset management, lettings & marketing of investment properties with particular focus on industrial. Prior to Langtree, Kathryn worked for the Northwest Regional Development Agency in their property department.

Jessica Shaw
Group Senior Property Manager

Jessica is a chartered surveyor with over 7 years of property experience. She has worked for large management agencies, REIT’s and high net worth individuals, giving ger a breadth of experience in retail, office, industrial and healthcare. Jessica is involved in the asset management, property management and facilities management of our investment properties here at Langtree. Jessica’s portfolio now primarily consists of northwest based industrial investment assets.

Jonathan McIlhinney
Group Senior Property Manager

Jonathan joined Langtree in 2019 and has more than 5 years commercial property experience. As Group Property Manager Jonathan provides asset management services to an allocated portfolio of properties, specifically the industrial investment assets.

Group Property Manager

Ellie joined Langtree in 2022 and as Group Property Manager she provides asset management services to an allocated portfolio of properties, specifically the industrial investment assets.

Deb Campion
Office Manager

Deb has over 25 years’ experience at Langtree working at Board level on behalf of Directors on a wide range of administrative activities, dealing externally with senior executives in the public and private sector managing ongoing working arrangements with key partners. Responsible for all Langtree and JV Board admin functions. As Office Manager she oversees all day-to-day activities at Langtree’s offices to ensure the smooth running of the business and personnel.

Rachael joined Langtree in 2022 as our Property and Health and Safety Administrator.

John Leake
Business Growth Director, Sci-Tech Daresbury

John has been the Business Development Manager at Sci-Tech Daresbury since 2006 with responsibility for attracting and supporting companies on site, and developing strategic partnerships. He started his career at Unilever in a variety of roles in the UK & USA, before working in Ineos. John is a Director and Company Secretary for the UK Science Park Association and is a member of the Cheshire & Warrington Enterprise Partnership Innovation Strategy Board and Liverpool City Region LEP Investment Board.

Dr. Paul Treloar
Head of Business Support, Sci-Tech Daresbury

Paul is responsible for engaging with the management teams of high technology companies to establish them at Sci-Tech Daresbury and work with them to accelerate the growth of their businesses, and he has supported the successful scale up of the site since 2003. Prior to this, Paul spent some 10 years in founding and growing a number of technology companies after his first spin out from Manchester University. He holds a PhD in sensor technology.

Lee Williams
Head of Facilities Management, Sci-Tech Daresbury

Lee is Head of Facilities Management at Sci-Tech Daresbury, resposible for overseeing The Innovation Centre, Vanugard House, and Techspace One & Two. He has previously covered a property portfolio including Home Office, Nuclear, Aviation, Biomedical and Hotels across the UK and ROI. Lee is an experienced property agent and a member of the British Institute of Facility Managers with extensive knowledge in hard, fabric and soft services holding a passion for delivering the best in class property services.

Jake Schofield
Building Manager, Sci-Tech Daresbury

Jake joined Langtree as a Building Manager at Sci-Tech Daresbury early in 2022, his role encompasses responsibility for the Violet estate and day-to-day management support of Techspace 1 & 2. He brings over 7 years of management experience and is IOSH Managing Safely qualified, showing his commitment to embedding health & safety across site operations. Before joining Langtree, Jake graduated with a BA (Hons) in Drama from Liverpool John Moore’s University and went on to manage several flagship sites across the Liverpool City Region for Costa Coffee, Travelodge Hotels, and Savills Property Management.

Lynne Letford
Building Manager, The Innovation Centre

Lynne joined Langtree in 2018 as the Assistant Building Manager at the Innovation Centre. Prior to joining Langtree Lynne spent her days sailing around the Mediterranean for several years and before this she worked for a housing association in which her role was to sell shared ownership to first time buyers. Her experience also includes selling new properties off plan and promoting and selling retirement homes. Lynne has spent the majority of her career being involved in property.

Ben joined Sci-Tech Daresbury in September 2022 as our Partnership Support and Marketing Manager, having started his career in residential sales and lettings, Ben has been in the property sector for over 6 years across numerous areas of the industry including property management, investment, and recruitment. Ben has a creative mind and has always had a strong interest for property and looks forward to working with the wider team across Sci-Tech Daresbury and Langtree.

Mark Jones
Maintenance Technician, Sci-Tech Daresbury

Mark joined Langtree in 2021 and is the Maintenance Technician at Sci-Tech Daresbury, his duties include, but are not limited to promoting Health and Safety. Mark is the main point of contact for reporting building faults and general grounds maintenance. Prior to joining Langtree Mark has over 15 years’ experience Construction and Maintenance. Mark worked on new build housing and apartment plot and also spent some time working for a hotel chain doing the maintenance technician role. Since joining Langtree Mark has completed his IOSH, which demonstrates the importance of safety and health in a business environment.

Laura Moore

“Laura is the Building Manager at St James Business Centre. Before joining Langtree, Laura studied Sport and Leisure Management at Staffordshire University and then worked in the restaurant industry, before taking up the position of Building Manager at Castlefield Estates where she completed her IOSH training.

Laura’s responsibilities at St James Business Centre include managing the Health and Safety, new lets, fit outs on site, all hard and soft services and providing a range a property management support.”

Carole is Assistant Building Manager at St James Business Centre where she provides secretarial support to tenants and administrative support to its Building Manager. Carole previously has 20 years’ experience as a legal secretary/legal assistant, and during this time she was also an office manager for a sole practitioner where she gained experience managing a small office.

Senior Receptionist, St James Business Centre

Bev has worked at St James Business Centre for over 20 years, where she runs the tenant and visitor approach to the building as their first point of contact. Bev has previously worked for the Royal British Legion.

Jon Higham
Maintenance Manager, St James Business Centre

Jon joined Langtree in January 2022 as our Maintenance Manager for St James Business Centre and prior to
Langtree he carried out various maintenance roles within the Warrington area. Jon’s responsibilities at Langtree include manging all contractors on-site and maintenance of common areas around the building.

Outside of his day job Jon loves to keep fit by going mountain biking and road biking to increase his fitness as well as learning new techniques. A big Rugby league fan who follows the local town Warrington Wolves.

Ross joined Langtree in early 2018 as our Maintenance Operative, assistant to the St James Business Centre Maintenance Manager and is responsible for managing the self-occupation of units, day-to-day repairs of the site and monitoring tenants utility usage.

Stacey Marsh
Building Manager, The Base

Stacey joined Langtree in 2020 as the Building Manager at The Base and brings over 20 years’ experience in customer services and front of house across the retail and hospitality industries. She has worked in the serviced office industry for over 10 years managing multiple sites and is fully conversant with managing serviced properties and both hard and soft services. Stacey’s responsibilities at The Base include managing Health and Safety, new lets, fit outs on site and providing a range of property management support.

Alison Handley
Business Development Manager, The Base

Alison joined Langtree as the Business Development Manager in August 2021 over at The Base. Previously working as Marketing Director for Peel Land & Property for 19 years, Ali has worked across several sectors including Property, Retail, Airports and Leisure, supporting various business and projects including MediaCityUK, Liverpool john Lennon Airport, Liverpool Waters and Gloucester Quays with full marketing strategy, PR, and events.

Ali is also a qualified yoga teacher and has been teaching yoga for 8 years so her new part time position at Langtree will allow her more flexibility (pardon the pun!) to develop her yoga business.

Lisa is the Receptionist at The Base and has over 15 years’ experience in the Health and Social care sector, working her way up to service manager. Her responsibilities at The Base include assisting the team with the overall Health and Safety and tracking budget.

Tracy Pikering

Tracy joined us here at The Base in March 2022 and brings with her over 28 years’ experience in customer service. Her main responsibilities include assisting the team with the overall Health and Safety, tracking budgets, welcoming customers and guests to the building and booking meeting and events rooms. Warrington born & bred in her spare time Tracy likes to listen to music, going to concerts and crafting.

Jeff Clayton

Jeff our Concierge at The Base, knows everything there is to know about The Base and treats it like his own home, which is reflected in how spotless and well maintained the building is.

Jeff has been at The Base for almost 3 years and has a 14 year career in security at various sites across the North West but we are glad Jeff has finally landed at The Base!

A lifelong Warrington Wolves fan, when Jeff isn’t at a match at weekends, he can be found at his caravan in North Wales, where he spends most weekends with his family.

Alan joined Langtree in 2021 as Group Accountant. After graduating with a First class degree and Masters from the University of Central Lancashire he gained his ACCA Qualification in 2016. He joins Langtree after 10 years’ experience in a variety of Accountancy role’s within the travel industry.

Laura joined Langtree in 2011 and has progressed to her current role as Client Accountant. Whilst working for the company she has gained her AAT qualification and also holds a B.A. degree with a specialism in Maths. Laura’s previous finance experience is within private healthcare and an IT infrastructure business.

Lynne has over 10 years’ experience as an Accounts Clerk at Langtree and has worked in finance for over 30 years. Her previous experience includes working in the housebuilding sector for a number of regional housebuilders.
