LANGTREE DOUBLES UP WITH TWO YORKSHIRE LETTINGS

Langtree has let two of the final remaining units in Yorkshire, which forms part of a portfolio it manages on behalf of an institutional client.

The company has let more than 14,000 sq ft of space in Leeds at its Lenton Drive and Orbital Industry Park sites in the south of the city, leaving just 3 units available in the Yorkshire part of the wider portfolio.

A 5,279 sq ft unit has been let at Lenton Drive, located in the Parkside industrial area, to food waste charity Fareshare Yorkshire, with a further 8,878 sq ft let to prestige used car specialist DB Automotive at Orbital Industry Park within the well-established Jack Lane industrial area.

“We provide cost-effective and well-managed premises to a wide range of businesses but they all share a common desire to work from a base that says ‘quality’.  Our hands-on approach has meant that our Yorkshire portfolio has been a huge success and indicative of the strength of the regional economy,” said Kathryn Smart, Group Associate Property Director at Langtree.

Kathryn believes that Langtree’s long-term strategy of revitalising tired industrial estates will continue to pay off and that the two latest lettings “demonstrate the market’s appetite for good quality industrial space.”

Gareth Batty, Chief Executive of FareShare Yorkshire said: “Our work is vital in supporting charities and organisations to provide food for people in the community.  Distributing surplus food means we need to be extremely efficient and our move gives us a strategic advantage due to Lenton Drive’s proximity to the motorway and West Yorkshire area.”

In addition to Lenton Drive and Orbital Industry Park in Leeds, Langtree also manages the Meadowbrook Park Trading Estate in Sheffield and Lockwood Park in south Leeds.
